Free Bird Lifestyle Boutique and Yoga started in two small offices at 601 South Maine Street in February 2021. The boutique was on the first floor with the yoga studio on the second floor. The business has grown and a larger single-level space with more visibility became necessary. That new home was found in two storefronts at 40 East Center Street, and they officially open on Saturday, July 9 at 10:00 a.m.

Macy Myers and her mom Shannon Myers continue to own the business together. Macy said, “Finally we'll be open here on Saturday. Yoga has been open. We have one new teacher and we're looking for more. If you have your yoga certification, come see me.”

Macy described their new space. “We have a lot more product now that we have a bigger space. And we have all the good vibes that Dee Dee left us too. Shannon continues with her line of Desert Air jewelry in the store. We've expanded the men's line to include more outdoor and adventure items. We have more athleisure wear, casual wear, and of course, yoga clothes – a full spectrum, the full lifestyle.”

The family spent one day putting in the new yoga studio floor, then held a class there two days later. They've repainted the entire interior in soothing shades of nature and added a huge barn door to separate the studio from the boutique. New LED lights are being hung. They are adding dressing rooms in the boutique and have plans to add a free-standing barrel sauna in the studio. Shannon said, “Luckily this side (the store) was in good shape, we just had to paint and we're adding lights. We did have to do the floor for the yoga though.” When asked if they had to level the floor first, Macy said, “No, but it is a little wonky in spots.”

Macy went on to say, “It's going to be good, I'm so excited. I love our little front corner. It was the first one we did, it came out so cute. It's the yoga corner, a transition into the studio. It's so nice to have everything in one space. We can be open to more people. We're also excited about the other businesses that are opening on the street too. The beauty bar next door, and the sushi place too.” Shannon added, “Hopefully as people walk down Maine Street, they'll also come down Center Street. There's His Inspirations, Life's Little Treats, Tiger Sushi. You know, shop, have a beer, get your nails done, then come and have some yoga.”

The planned store hours are Wednesday through Friday 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. More information can be found on their website, https://freebirdlifestyle.live/

They strung them along for years until they had no financial choice but to accept and get out. My Dad even hauled water for the Snow ranch trying to stay afloat. May God bless you all. I truly pray it works out for you.Comment publication date: 3/28/26, 9:22 PMComment source: Local Rancher Says Navy Land Expansion is Devastating His Family RanchComment author: Lynn JohnsonComment text: I remember your mother well; she was a lovely and kind woman. I see glimpses of your face in the years worn onto my dad. It makes me feel more connected to you in some way. I remember the familiar kindness from you that I know in my dad. I would’ve really liked to have a good conversation. I only have a handful of memories with you, but you were loving, and you were kind. I wish I was able to say more. If I am someone to you, I hope I make you proud.
