Logos Christian Academy - Fully Staffed for 2022-23 School Year

The new headmaster at Logos Christian Academy, Mrs. Jill Rosario along with the Logos School Board announced this week that the school is fully staffed for the 2022-2023 school year.

Mrs. Rosario is the new headmaster, with Mrs. Jillian Mikulak serving as the school secretary. Mrs. Taylor Coverston becomes the teacher of the 3rd/4th-grade class, and Mrs. Tandis Boynton is re-joining the team at the1st grade level. The preschool team is made up of Mrs. Brandie, Mrs. Jessica, and Miss Emma, as well as Mrs. Kim Jung, who will be entering her 23rd year as the Logos kindergarten teacher. Mrs. Joelle MacKay will be moving up from 1st to 2nd grade and Mrs. Dayna Mitchell will continue in her role as the 7th/8th-grade teacher. Rosario said, “We wish Mrs. Rechel, Mrs. Mora, and Mrs. Parsons well in their new adventures and are extremely grateful for their dedication to their students during their time at Logos.”

Additionally, Logos has just added two more new staff members to make the team complete. Mrs. Gretchen Felte will be returning to Logos as the 5th/6th-grade teacher. Mrs. Felte is re-joining the Logos staff after a time of serving as the Educator Curator at the Churchill County Museum. During her tenure at Logos, she taught 1st, 3rd, and 5th/6th grade for 14 years. She holds a Master of Education degree (Integrated Arts Through Curriculum) and is known for her creative lessons, passion, and depth of knowledge of Classical Christian Education. This is evidenced in her thoughts: "I believe in the philosophy of classical education, developing a love of learning in students through content-rich education rooted in examples of classic works of literature, music, and art, which have stood the test of time. I believe in developing and educating the whole heart and mind of a child through committed parental involvement with an emphasis on the character of God."

A new position "K-8 Specialist Teacher" has also been added and will be filled by Mrs. Adrienne Martinez. Mrs. Martinez is returning to Logos staff after being home to raise her youngest child for the past 3 years. Previously, she taught 6th-8th grade liberal studies at Logos for a year and has a myriad of experiences as a substitute teacher in Washoe County School District. She has taught at many different levels, from preschool to tutoring English for university students. She describes herself as having a curious mind and a love for learning, which she will surely pass on to her students. She holds a bachelor’s degree in History, with a minor in rt.

This newly created role will fulfill many needs across our campus, including relieving our combination classes in the 3rd-8th grade of juggling two math curriculums. She will be teaching 3rd, 6th, and 7th-grade math daily in the mornings. Additionally, she will be helping to cover lunch duty for the staff to give our classroom teachers a duty-free lunch each day and will be teaching Art and Physical Education to all our K-8 classes twice a week in the afternoon to give our teachers two prep periods a week.

In a time when schools are eliminating their elective programs and children spend more time in front of electronics than ever before, Logos is pleased to offer these classes to our students with a teacher who is passionate about encouraging the development of the whole child. Creative minds and healthy bodies contribute to classical education's goal of creating life-long learners.

It makes me feel more connected to you in some way. I remember the familiar kindness from you that I know in my dad. I would’ve really liked to have a good conversation. I only have a handful of memories with you, but you were loving, and you were kind. I wish I was able to say more. If I am someone to you, I hope I make you proud. Thank you Aunt for this sweet post.Comment publication date: 3/27/26, 12:11 AMComment source: Obituary -- Randolph Floris Banovich C Comment author: RBCComment text: The Navy should reimburse the market cost of replacing the grazing land they are taking. I am Kelly’s sister, Charlene B Johnson and his daughter is Trisha Benjamin. The Fallon Tribal Police acted unconscionably by not notifying the family first. This is devastating for us especially after speaking a little bit with the officer handling the report and The Chief Juarez. Who refused to give me any further details or to at least let me know the FBI was notified and that they were investigating if my brothers death was foul play or not. My understanding is the FBI is called when a body is found. Tribal Chairwoman please do the family a solid and make sure the finding of my brother was due to suspicious circumstances.Comment publication date: 3/24/26, 1:55 PMComment source: Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribe Reports Death Under InvestigationComment author: Nicole GalbraithComment text: Farren - I just saw that you aren’t here with us. I am completely in shock! I met you and hung out with you so many years ago with Jer, and Eden. I honestly can’t believe you are gone…..you were a wonderful human being, with a HUGE heart and soul. Hearing this makes my heart break! You are forever in our hearts, and I can say I feel blessed that I was able to know you!
