Churchill County Sheriff’s deputies, along with EMTs, responded to an accident on Allen Road between St. Clair and Bass Roads at around 6:30 Sunday evening, July 18.

The pickup truck, the only vehicle involved in the wreck, was somehow thrown into the canal which runs on the east side of Allen Road and adjacent a cement irrigation ditch that feeds into to an alfalfa field. The truck was situated between the two ditches facing into the canal.

An ambulance was on scene and the truck had to be towed from the canal embankment.

On Thursday, July 22 the Sherriff’s office responded to a single-vehicle accident on Allen Road involving a single female passenger.

According to witness Adam Vice, the woman was going south on Allen Road and pulled to the side of the road by Fallon Livestock Processing before turning left trying to make a u-turn. Upon making the turn, she proceeded to stop in the middle of the road, then travel north and went to directly into the ditch on the east side of Allen. Vice stopped his car and went to check on the driver to make sure she was okay. He stated they told him that she had received her COVID-19  vaccine the day before and that she felt dizzy before blacking out.

The driver was taken to the hospital for evaluation. The Churchill County Sherriff’s are investigating.

Who and what they REALLY were. Because they were devotional and IMPORTANT to the humans they connected with. The content of their life bled so that others could feel their own life’s importance. Teachers of justifiable life and art. That all can absorb and use as the best fertilizer for THEIR lives. Giving the silent secrets and the loud guidance. The Melon Man was a perfect specimen for how to devote. His passing meant a life book of feeling/knowing what gives other humans their paths to Love and Knowledge. Some humans are meant to show others their paths. And in that they secrete ways to profitably exist.Comment publication date: 3/18/26, 4:50 PMComment source: In memorium -- The Melon Man
