55th Annual Fallon All Breeds Bull Sale

55th Annual Fallon All Breeds Bull Sale

Martin Paris is the new executive director of the Nevada Cattlemen’s Association, and with 11 days on the job, he is gearing up for the 55th Annual Fallon All Breeds Bull Sale. Coming to NCA from Congressman Amodei’s congressional staff, Paris is well-versed in the livestock industry’s issues and is looking forward to his new role. He will be in Fallon this weekend for his first Fallon Bull Sale.

“The sale will begin on Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m., and this year we have just over 90 bulls consigned, including Angus, Red Angus, Herford, Balancer, and Charolais bulls,” Paris said. Consigners are coming from Nevada, Idaho, California, Utah, and Oregon. The sale will be held at the Fallon Livestock Auction off Trento Lane.

Sifting begins Friday at 7:30 a.m., and the stock dog trials will start at 9:00 a.m. in the arena. “The trade show is going full blast in the parking lot,” said Paris. Unfortunately, the most popular part of the event, and what some may argue is one of the year’s social events in Fallon, the Cowbelle’s Dinner and Dance, is canceled this year.

The Churchill County Cowbelles provide three scholarships for graduating seniors every year, along with sponsoring the Junior Cattleman’s Award during the Jr. Livestock Show in Fallon. They also sponsor a Carcass Contest during the Livestock Show, sponsor the Teacher of the Year Award, and sponsor educational activities that support and promote the beef and agriculture industry.

This year the Bull Sale Committee and the NCA recognized and honored the late Lilla Bell. Lilla served on the American Polled Hereford Association Board of Directors and was inducted into the Hereford Hall of Fame in 2012.

The Fallon Committee is made up of Steve Biddinger, Maureen Weishaupt, Chris Gansberg, Kristina Carey, Todd Sceirine, Randy Wallstrum, Tim Dufurrena, Tod Radelfinger, Brett Reed, Anthony Moura, David Stix Jr., Tommy Lee, and Tamra Herchback. The committee expressed their appreciation for the local FFA Chapter’s support and their continued dedication.

The NCA and the Fallon Bull Sale Committee said in their catalog (nevadacattlemen.org) that the organization is proud to provide quality range-ready bulls and strives to work with consignors to maintain the quality of bulls that will add significant value to any ranching operation. The sale is a major fundraiser for the NCA, which tackles Nevada’s beef industry issues.

They strung them along for years until they had no financial choice but to accept and get out. My Dad even hauled water for the Snow ranch trying to stay afloat. May God bless you all. I truly pray it works out for you.Comment publication date: 3/28/26, 9:22 PMComment source: Local Rancher Says Navy Land Expansion is Devastating His Family RanchComment author: Lynn JohnsonComment text: I remember your mother well; she was a lovely and kind woman. I see glimpses of your face in the years worn onto my dad. It makes me feel more connected to you in some way. I remember the familiar kindness from you that I know in my dad. I would’ve really liked to have a good conversation. I only have a handful of memories with you, but you were loving, and you were kind. I wish I was able to say more. If I am someone to you, I hope I make you proud. Thank you Aunt for this sweet post.Comment publication date: 3/27/26, 12:11 AMComment source: Obituary -- Randolph Floris Banovich C Comment author: RBCComment text: The Navy should reimburse the market cost of replacing the grazing land they are taking.
