Scott Winter is the new principal at Churchill County High School, but he also has chops as a theater geek. With a background in theater and currently in pursuit of a Master’s in Fine Art degree from the University of Idaho, Winters will be producing and directing a small-cast musical called “Is There Life After High School” that will be performed on the stage at the Fallon Theatre on May 16 - 18th.
Auditions will be held at the historical Fallon theatre February 25, 26, and 27th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Winter will be casting three females and four males, ages 20 - 50 years old. Interested thespians should come prepared with 16 - 32 bars of music. Callbacks for the script readings will take place on the 27th. Rehearsals will be weeknights during the evening with some weekend mornings.
Ironically, with the cast being played by adults, Winter plans to have a band as part of the production, but only high school students will be playing those parts.
Winter can be reached for more information at 307-262-4069.

Comment text: Marie will be forever treasured in memories.
The memories remain of a soft-spoken, seemingly unassuming but determined individual who absolutely knew what path she wanted to take in life, and followed it.
Her instinctive reactions, which highlighted her steadfast level of love and caring for her family, friends and all living things found in nature, hold lessons for us all.
An unexpected splash of her self-deprecating humor, coupled with uncanny timing, will always bring a smile.
For me, Marie lives on in the sighting of a Black-crowned night heron in the tules, the bloom of a beautiful spring flower and, most poetically, in the struggle of wildlife photographers handling their very large camera lenses.

Comment text: I just figured out that Betty was my 1st cousin. Her dad Ted was my dad's brother. I never knew Ted or Betty, but I wish I did. I am 73 and live in IL. I am building my family tree and see where Betty has fit in. Blessings to you Curt and family.
