LEAD On Hosts First Alumni Panel
LEAD On VP of Development Paolo Narag with Macy Myers and Wyatt Getto during the first "Power Panel" discussion

LEAD On, a local nonprofit serving Churchill County youth previously known as LEAD Green, held the first virtual alumni panel on Monday night.

“We are excited to continue serving as a bridge between students and alumni,” said LEAD On VP of Development Paolo Narag. “Our hope is for students to be inspired and informed about the many paths they can pursue during and after high school.”

The first “Power Panel” took place November 23 at 8pm PST via zoom. Narag moderated a conversation between two young entrepreneurs from Fallon: Macy Myers and Wyatt Getto. The recording can be viewed here: https://vimeo.com/483183844

Macy Myers graduated CCHS in 2016. After high school, she played soccer at the collegiate level. Macy is currently working as a Patient Care Technician at DaVita Dialysis, and recently opened up Free Bird Yoga in Fallon.

Wyatt Getto also graduated from CCHS is 2016. He is a licensed Realtor, owner of Getto Subs, and The Body Shop fitness center. Getto said he was inspired to build community-focused businesses after working at the Pizza Barn in High School.

LEAD On plans to host a virtual panel every other month on various topics. To request a topic or speaker, please contact Paolo Narag via email at: [email protected]

Comment author: Claude EzzellComment text: Paul was one of the most manifest men I have ever met. He was a good friends with my Dad and always had an entertaining story for the occasion. One of my most favorite stories Paul told dated back to the late 60s or early 70s and it revolved around him killing a deer way out in the mountains. Naturally the deer ran down into a deep canyon and died. Knowing that it would take him forever to haul it out he devised an awesome plan. After preparing the deer he drove back to NAS Fallon and rustled up a SAR crew and they flew out and picked up the deer. Of course it was labeled as a training flight but what the hell in those days you could do that sort of thing. Rest in Peace my friend until we meet again!!Comment publication date: 4/11/24, 1:15 PMComment source: Obituary - LCDR Paul N PflimlinComment author: THughesComment text: So sad to hear.
