The Queen’s Gambit -- Viviane's reviews

The Queen’s Gambit -- Viviane's reviews

Netflix’s new drama, The Queen’s Gambit draws on a fictional story of a young orphan, chess prodigy who goes on to play the best Russian chess geniuses in the world.

For those who loved the period costuming and atmosphere of Mad Men or Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, this show brings the same taste on a whole other level.

Not only is the composition of the show absolutely beautiful, but the large collection of mainly unknown cast members created a wonderful universe themselves.

Anya Taylor-Joy (Emma), plays the young girl Beth Harmon. We fallow her journey along the chess world from her beginnings at an orphanage at eight years-old to her most climactic game at the age of twenty-two.

This show enters a world that most do not know, and supports the idea that knowledge is power, while it can also sometimes be crippling.

Netflix’s new miniseries is sure to garner buzz from the academy of the arts, and deserves all the accolades it receives.

Who and what they REALLY were. Because they were devotional and IMPORTANT to the humans they connected with. The content of their life bled so that others could feel their own life’s importance. Teachers of justifiable life and art. That all can absorb and use as the best fertilizer for THEIR lives. Giving the silent secrets and the loud guidance. The Melon Man was a perfect specimen for how to devote. His passing meant a life book of feeling/knowing what gives other humans their paths to Love and Knowledge. Some humans are meant to show others their paths. And in that they secrete ways to profitably exist.Comment publication date: 3/18/26, 4:50 PMComment source: In memorium -- The Melon Man
