Benjamin Banuelos, Jr. plead guilty on charges of allegedly damaging a prison or jail with damages less than $5,000. According to his defense counsel, Jacob Sommer Esq., while in the custody of the Churchill County Jail on an unrelated traffic charge, Banuelos did inadvertently do property damage of $149 to a sprinkler head. He received 22 days in jail and was ordered to pay restitution for the damage amount within 90 days.

Maylynn Leigh Boots appeared on a sentencing violation after failing to report to Parole and Probation as required as well use of a controlled substance on September 2nd. Boots admitted to the violations alleged. According to defense counsel, Jacob Sommer, Esq., Boots had successfully satisfied the terms of her probation from June of 2018 to June of 2020 and only violated after facing some challenges with housing and other difficulties. Judge Stockard reinstated Boots on probation and imposed a sanction of 30 days in jail.

Dan Charles Brady entered a guilty plea on a single count of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamines), a first or second offense. He received a suspended sentence of 12-36 months in prison with the requirement to complete the Western Regional Drug Court diversion program.

Wilford E. Crutcher, Sr. appeared for sentencing on a DUI 3rd or subsequent offense. Judge Stockard suspended sentencing on the matter and placed Crutcher on the DUI Diversion program with probation and the provision that he must install an Interlock device on his vehicle that will test his blood-alcohol level before driving.

Robin Alice Harrison entered a plea of guilty on a single count of burglary, which carries a potential penalty of 1-10 years in prison. According to Sommer, also representing Harrison, the defendant allegedly entered Big R on April 15th, 2020 with the intent to commit petty larceny. As Harrison has a prior petty larceny conviction, the charge is enhanced to burglary per Nevada statute. She will appear for sentencing on December 15th.

Michael Donald Johnston plead guilty on a single count of possession of a controlled substance, a first or second offense. He received 18 months of probation with the requirement to enter and complete Drug Court.

John Anthony Sanchez entered a guilty plea on unlawfully obtaining personal identification information to cause harm, or for unlawful purposes, of an older person. According to defense counsel, Charles Woodman Esq., the charge alleges that between September 12th and October 4th, 2019, Sanchez obtained the debit card information of an elderly individual to pay his personal auto insurance premiums of $1,031.92. He will appear for sentencing on December 15th.
