It’s incredibly unfortunate that this show is only available on Appletv, but it is well worth the subscription, or free trial.

Ted Lasso, played by comic actor Jason Sudeikis, has just coached a college football team to their first title in decades. Showing how well he can bring people together, Lasso becomes the manager of the Richmond Football Club.

This new show has received mix reviews from others for being simple and obvious, but that is what makes it so good.

The joke construction in this show is strong and sprinkled throughout so that each joke hits at 100 percent. Along with that, the plot and theme may be obvious, but what is so wrong with shows that contain simplicity?

Many sitcoms and other genres in the past 20 years have stived for wittiness and difference, but because they have all been striving to go in the same direction, simplicity has become refreshing again.

This show comes at a great time for the student athletes who have been sidelined by COVID, waiting to play again. Ted Lasso is a magnificent, heartwarming coach that every student athlete dreams of having. This is one show I will highly recommend for quite some time.

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
