City Completes New River Substation
The New River Substation is located at the corner of Wildes Road and New River Parkway

Mayor Ken Tedford, along with Councilman James Richardson, and Councilwomen Kelly Frost and Karla Kent announced yesterday the completion and successful commissioning of the New River Substation. The substation, sitework, and feeder design were completed by Tri Sage Consulting, DC Engineering, Lumos Engineering, and the contractor on the project was Bodec Electric, of Price, Utah.

“We are excited to complete this important upgrade to the City’s electric utility infrastructure,” said Mayor Ken Tedford. “This new substation will allow the City to continue providing the safe and reliable electric service that our citizens and businesses expect. We can’t thank Bodec Electric and all of our consultants enough for their work on this important project.”

The new 60/12.5kV substation increases the reliability of the City’s electrical system while decreasing the current demand on the Babb Substation and provides capacity for future growth and development in the City and at the City’s New River Business Park.

The City of Fallon has served the citizens and businesses of Fallon with electric service since 1912. They are a member of UAMPS (Utah Area Municipal Power Systems) an organization that provides wholesale electric energy, transmission, and other energy services to community-owned power systems throughout the Intermountain West.

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
