Lattin Receives Life in Prison for Sexual Assault

Originally arrested in 2003, Lattin fled his trial in 2005 had been on the lam for nearly 15 years before authorities located and arrested him in February of this year.

Lattin Receives Life in Prison for Sexual Assault

Wesley Austin Lattin appeared in District Court yesterday before Judge Tom Stockard for sentencing on charges stemming from his original arrest in 2003. Lattin had entered a guilty plea in April on charges of sexual assault of a child under the age of 16 without substantial bodily harm. He was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 20 years. On the additional charge of failing to appear for the originally scheduled 2005 jury trial, Lattin was sentenced to 19-48 months in prison. The sentences are to run consecutively.
