Updated Primary Election Results - Heath Upsets Scharmann

With all the votes in and counted, the County Commission District 1 seat will be held by Justin Heath who received 1,881 votes to Bus Scharmann's 1,686 votes. Scharmann will serve the remainer of his term through this year, and Heath will be sworn in along with the commissioner who is elected to District 3.

The District 3 race will continue to the general election on November 3rd with Democrat Kelli Kelly facing Republican Greg Koenig. Kelly gained 730 votes to Keith Boone's 406 votes. Koenig came out ahead of Mick Casey with 2,265 votes to Casey's 1,277. 

Statewide races went to Patricia Ackerman in the Democrat primary for Congressional District 2 and she will face incumbent Congressman Mark Amodei who won the Republican primary.

Assemblywoman Robin Titus (R-38) fended off her primary challenger, and in Supreme Court Justice Seat B Kristina Pickering won the votes,, which win Seat D Douglas Herndon came out ahead.

In the State Board of Education, District 2 race, the only candidate was Kaatie Coombs, with Mosquito Abatement the same for Marion Jonte. 

County Commissioners will Canvass the Vote on Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. in the commission chambers, a process in which they verify the election results.
