The Museum is Open

The wait is over, the Churchill County Museum is back open. Staff at the museum has been busy in preparations and has made a few changes for visitor safety such as…Including hand sanitizer and social distancing markers. They are also asking that visitors please wear a mask for the safety of the staff.

They have also moved to assisted shopping -- Most of gift shop objects are in cases for browsing. Just ask the friendly person behind the desk and they’ll get you anything you’d like.

Certain exhibits have been updated to cut down on touchable surfaces.

In order to comply with Phase 2 directives from Governor Sisolak, the Discovery Room is still closed, and Hidden Cave tours have not yet resumed, but the rest of the museum is open to enjoy, so please go take a look.

The museum is located at 1050 S. Maine Street and is closed on Mondays. They are open Tuesday - Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sundays 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Their phone number is 423-3677, and website http://ccmuseum.org/

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
