Marcus Orlando Raoul Leyva Jr., appeared to change a previously entered plea as a result of a criminal settlement conference. Leyva plead guilty to assault with a deadly weapon and is to be sentenced on August 20, 2020. The originally scheduled jury trial set for September 2, 2020 was vacated.  According to reports at the time, Leyva appeared previously before Judge Stockard in February of 2018 and was sentenced to 364 days in the Churchill County Jail for battery on an officer, provider of health care, school bus driver, transit operator or sports official.

Patrick David Sannella was remanded back to Justice Court after being deemed competent to stand trial. Sanella will face his original charges from last December for alleged domestic battery, and resist/obstruct/delay arrest.

Bryce Russell Van Duisen was sentenced to probation for a possession of forged instrument in connection with similar crimes committed in neighboring counties in 2019. Judge Stockard, concerned about Van Duisen’s 13 prior felony convictions, imposed a suspended sentence of 24-60 months to run concurrent with four sentences in Washoe County that will earn him 8-18 years in prison if probation is violated.

Dereck Kyle Vradenburg-Wheeler (24) plead guilty to a possession of a Class 1 controlled substance, specifically methamphetamines. According to Chelsea Sanford, Assistant District Attorney, shortly after completing parole, Vradenburg-Wheeler violated a Temporary Restraining Order (TPO) and was subsequently arrested in possession of 1.7 grams of methamphetamines along with prescription narcotics. Judge Stockard delivered a sentence of 19-48 months in prison, which was suspended. Vradenburg-Wheeler was granted probation with the provision to enroll and successfully complete Western Regional Drug Court.

Jordan Albert Mauwee appeared before Judge Stockard for a status hearing to request a bail reduction which was granted. With the restriction of supervision by court services, Mauwee’s bail was reduced to $30,000 bondable. According to Lane Mills, ADA, Mauwee allegedly used violence while committing robbery.

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
