About the Fallon Post

About the Fallon Post

Author: Howieloo Photography

GOOD NEWS about Fallon and Churchill County -- our residents, local businesses, and non-profit organizations. The Fallon Post will be found at www.TheFallonPost.org and feature a Community Calendar, Online Business Directory, community news, and more. We will be working through December 2018 to test and promote the online paper for a launch on January 1st, 2019.

The paper is brought to you by Rachel Dahl and her skeleton crew of free-lancers, contributors, and friends. Rachel has served this community for years as a writer and contributor to the Fallon Star Press, a teacher at Western Nevada College and the Churchill County School District, the Executive Director of Churchill Economic Development, and a Fallon City Councilwoman. She returned to Fallon after a two-year adventure to Southern Nevada where she had the oppportunity to learn about the rest of our beautiful state and is looking forward to bringing her experience to this important project.

We welcome all submissions, ideas, and comments and look forward to being a part of this amazing community we all call home. Please email us at [email protected] or call 775-423-4545.

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
