Too Cute Newt
Meet Newt—an energetic, fearless, and affectionate pup surrendered to Animal Control when his previous family moved and couldn’t take him along. This playful guy loves a good game of fetch, splashing in the water, and going for car rides. He’s reportedly house-trained, walks well on a leash, and has lived comfortably with children, dogs, cats, and even chickens.

We’d also like to thank Fallon Animal Control for their ongoing partnership in helping us find loving homes for Fallon’s homeless dogs and cats. Volunteers, board members, and donations are always needed—and always appreciated.

Kitty, Mama Jane

Mama Jane is a young, beautiful cat who’s spayed, vaccinated, and ready for her forever home. After doing an amazing job raising her kittens, it’s finally her turn to be spoiled and loved.

She’s a laid-back girl who enjoys lounging in sunny spots and watching the world go by. Mama Jane is deeply bonded with her playful calico kitten, Pearl, and they must be adopted together. Pearl brings the fun; Mama Jane brings the calm.

This sweet duo would thrive in a quiet, peaceful home where they can keep snuggling, playing, and loving their people. Ready for a perfect pair? Mama Jane and Pearl are waiting for you!

Sweet Baxter
Baxter (D-331) is a sweet-natured stray who’s now cleared for adoption and ready to find his forever home. Despite efforts to locate his original owner, Baxter has remained calm and gentle throughout his stay with us since April.

He walks easily on a leash, takes treats politely, and brings a mellow, “chill” vibe wherever he goes—making him a wonderful companion for a relaxed, loving household.

Photos and details are available on our Facebook page, but we don’t respond to questions online. To meet Baxter, please call or stop by the City of Fallon Animal Shelter.

Comment author: BonnieComment text: Good Luck to all of you. I mean this sincerely. My family fought the Navy for years. My parents owned Horse Creek (Pat and Linda Dempsey). They strung them along for years until they had no financial choice but to accept and get out. My Dad even hauled water for the Snow ranch trying to stay afloat. May God bless you all. I truly pray it works out for you.Comment publication date: 3/28/26, 9:22 PMComment source: Local Rancher Says Navy Land Expansion is Devastating His Family RanchComment author: Lynn JohnsonComment text: I remember your mother well; she was a lovely and kind woman. I see glimpses of your face in the years worn onto my dad. It makes me feel more connected to you in some way. I remember the familiar kindness from you that I know in my dad. I would’ve really liked to have a good conversation. I only have a handful of memories with you, but you were loving, and you were kind. I wish I was able to say more. If I am someone to you, I hope I make you proud. Thank you Aunt for this sweet post.Comment publication date: 3/27/26, 12:11 AMComment source: Obituary -- Randolph Floris Banovich C Comment author: RBCComment text: The Navy should reimburse the market cost of replacing the grazing land they are taking.
