Pets of the Week

Pets of the Week

CAPS

Meet Inali, the oldest dog at the shelter. She is an 8-year-old pit bull and a very sweet girl who loves people. She is fully house-trained and would love a home with a cozy spot to curl up in.

Inali does well with some dogs but tends to get excited during first encounters. She has a lump on her belly, which the vet believes is a benign fatty growth. It is being monitored for changes, but it does not currently bother her or require special care.

The No Flea, Flea Market is April 4-5, with item drop-off on April 3. The shelter is now officially open to the public again, so no appointments are needed for donation drop-offs or to meet adoptable pets.

Say hello to Leo – your future best friend. Leo is a 1.5-year-old male brown tabby with a heart full of love and a playful spirit. This handsome boy has been through some changes and is a little unsure since coming back to us, but his sweet personality shines through. He loves to play, be petted, and cuddle. Leo is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped-completely ready for his forever home. If you're looking for a friendly and affectionate companion, Leo would love to be part of your family. Call 775-217-4745 to schedule an appointment. We would love to help you find your next furry friend.

City of Fallon Animal Shelter

This is Lumi (D-154). She is right around 3 years old, and oh, what a love she is. Lumi is a funny dog who has silly zoomies. We were told she likes to pick and choose her friends, so we highly recommend a meet and greet. She's house-trained, leash trained, and looking for her new home.

If you think she would make a good addition to your household, please give us a call or come check her out.

HagenComment text: What are MFNs and PBMs ?? ............................ From the editor: This is a very good question and we apologize for not catching that wasn't in there. We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
