Two weeks before school started, I was living the dream in Florida. I thought it would be a rough transition from vacation to school, but it wasn’t that bad it was quite easy because I enjoy school. I was even more excited because I was gonna be in 8th grade and a part of the oldest kids in the school.
I was also excited about all my classes and electives including office aide. This year I have more responsibilities as I am treasurer of the student council. I also have a goal to get straight A’s all year. It is now the second week of school, and everything is going smoothly, all my classes are great. I have a couple of teachers that I had last year but I’m very happy about that because they are all great teachers.
Now working in the office is a big deal and a big responsibility, I love it. It is the best thing. Everyone in the office is so nice and even though one of my favorite staff is no longer in the office it is still enjoyable. Working in the office I had to get over a lot of my fears like talking to people and talking on the phone. After a while, I got used to it and it’s getting easier the more I do it. You get your steps in walking from classroom to classroom, delivering notes, and such.
It’s only the second week and during lunch, there is quite a bit of drama. I have managed to stay out of it as I should. I feel like the first week of school went by so fast. I’ve been having such a good time.
This weekend is going to be the best because of the Cantaloupe Festival. It is my favorite time of the year. I have so much fun bonding with my friends and making memories. Now that I’m 13 I can walk around more freely with my friends. My favorite part is coming back to school next week and talking about all the fun I’ve had. It’s great to share all the pictures my friends and I have taken. My favorite part is the rides. I have a favorite, but I don’t know what it’s called all I know is it is fun, and I will go on it time after time. Overall, the last 2 weeks have been fun and exciting.
