Support the Senior Center

Support the Senior Center
Submitted by the WNP Life Center staff – Does your “sweet tooth” ever call to you in the evening while you are sitting and watching TV – what if you could bake yourself a single cookie or even two in a moment of time? Well, if you are interested in that, you can also help the seniors at the William N. Pennington Life Center meet their goal of selling 640 buckets of cookie dough by the end of May. As a fundraiser for to support projects at the Life Center, you can purchase a bucket of cookie dough that is two pounds, and makes approximately 32 one ounce cookies. There are six kinds of cookies to choose from – classic chocolate chunk, peanut butter, white chip macadamia nut, sugar delight, snickerdoodle, or cinnamon oatmeal raisin. The dough can be frozen for one year or put in your refrigerator for six months. Each bucket of 32 cookies costs only $10. Contact of the the WNP staff members to assist in placing your order. Payment is due at the time of order placement. The sales will go through May 30. Get your cookies now and support the WNP Life Center in our fundraising efforts. Tell your friends and family our “secret” for a sweet tooth fix! William N. We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
