The “Moving Forward Together” Traditional Powwow is coming to Fallon, from June 3rd through the 5th. Churchill Community Coalition, Native Voters Alliance of Nevada, and local Native American community members are the hosts. The powwow is being held at the Rafter 3C Arena on the Churchill County Fairgrounds at 325 Sheckler Road. Admission is free and open to all.

This will be the first large powwow held in Fallon for over a decade. It is a celebration of Indigenous wellness, with a focus on healing, artistry, creativity, and culture. The event intends to gather people together to find purpose, joy, and heal from the loss and grief of the COVID-19 pandemic.

There will be dancing, food vendors, arts & crafts, and singing & drumming. Specials will include honoring those who have passed, including a Duck & Dive Competition in honor of Monty Williams and a Memorial Hand Drum Competition in honor of Keith Andren.

A Traditional Feed will be provided Saturday evening.

The “Moving Forward Together” Traditional Powwow will have many performances, educational opportunities, and resources for everyone to enjoy. If you are interested in supporting our event, we have many different opportunities. We are currently accepting sponsors if you would like to support this event and advertise your business. There are 5 levels of sponsorship available. We have limited space left for food, community resources, and arts & crafts booths. We are accepting volunteers for a variety of positions for the whole weekend. For more information go to ChurchillCoalition.com/Powwow, find us on Facebook at Churchill Community Coalition, or call our office at (775) 423-7433. We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
