EnviroSafe Demil  (ESD), an LLC, that disposes of energetic materials, explosive contaminated items, and munitions in an environmentally friendly manner will be hosting a groundbreaking ceremony on March 4 at 12763 Lovelock Hwy, north of Fallon.

The company bills itself as “America’s Clean Alternative to Open Burning,” and is expecting to complete construction this summer on the facility.

The company is looking to follow up on its breakthrough 2021, in which it was awarded a 5-year Indefinite-Delivery-Indefinite-Quantity contract to perform Small Arms Ammunition demilitarization services for the Department of Justice’s Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms. This contract pegged the company as the source for ammunition demilitarization services for the ATF, FBI, DEA, and U.S. Marshals Service.

In May 2021, ESD was announced as a small business major awardee for the U.S. Army’s Conventional Ammunition Demilitarization (CAD) project worth an estimated $110M over 5 years. This contract is also a 5-year Indefinite-Delivery-Indefinite-Quantity contract. ESD will be performing CAD demilitarization services for portions of the U.S. Army’s 20MM, artillery fuses, and infrared countermeasures/flares stockpiles.

ESD’s major contract achievements in 2021 amount to over $25 million with the potential for additional capture value. For a small business start-up that went from $0 to $25 million in contracts, ESD is now emerging as a serious player in the industry and is poised for more growth.

EnviroSafe Demil’s CEO, T.J. Ogden says that 2021 was just the beginning while teasing some announcements in 2022.

“We are establishing the future of green demilitarization technology in Nevada with our innovative systems and introducing high-technology careers to Churchill County and the Fallon, Nevada area,” Ogden said. “Our contract awards are achievements that allow us to execute our goal of being the clean alternative to open burning, and 2022 will be the year that we make it a reality.”

With the facility that is being constructed near Fallon, ESD will be utilizing its revolutionary Energetic Activation Unit© (EAU) to perform the demilitarization services. ESD will recover materials from the demilitarization process and recycle the resulting materials upon completion.

“Our EAU is a perfect solution to cleanly process these munitions for neutralization, deactivation, and recycling in an environmentally-friendly manner by achieving as much as 97% materials recovery and recycling efficiency,” said Mike Wentz, President. “In 2022 we will be rapidly staffing-up, constructing our facility, implementing several innovative capabilities; and we have other major announcements coming soon.”

They strung them along for years until they had no financial choice but to accept and get out. My Dad even hauled water for the Snow ranch trying to stay afloat. May God bless you all. I truly pray it works out for you.Comment publication date: 3/28/26, 9:22 PMComment source: Local Rancher Says Navy Land Expansion is Devastating His Family RanchComment author: Lynn JohnsonComment text: I remember your mother well; she was a lovely and kind woman. I see glimpses of your face in the years worn onto my dad. It makes me feel more connected to you in some way. I remember the familiar kindness from you that I know in my dad. I would’ve really liked to have a good conversation. I only have a handful of memories with you, but you were loving, and you were kind. I wish I was able to say more. If I am someone to you, I hope I make you proud. Thank you Aunt for this sweet post.Comment publication date: 3/27/26, 12:11 AMComment source: Obituary -- Randolph Floris Banovich C Comment author: RBCComment text: The Navy should reimburse the market cost of replacing the grazing land they are taking.
