Movies & More - for the week of January 4

Movies & More - for the week of January 4

All of us at the Fallon Community Theatre would like to wish you all our best in 2022.  We have decided to change the showing days of our movies from Thursday/Saturday to Friday/Saturday as we enter the New Year.  We are hoping this will work better for all our movie patrons.

Starting Friday, January 7 at 6:30 p.m. we will be showing Return to Snowy River.  This 1988 Australian drama is a sequel to the 1982 film The Man from Snowy River.  Young Jim Craig returns to his home in the Australian high country and finds that things are not as he left them. He definitely has his work cut out for him. Saturday, January 8 at 6:30 p.m. brings us the classic 101 Dalmatians.  What a great movie for all ages. When a litter of Dalmatian puppies is abducted by the minions of Cruella de Vil, the parents must find them before she uses them for a diabolical fashion statement.  Hope you are able to join us for both of these great movies.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Fallon community for all your support, not only throughout the last year but every year that our non-profit organization has owned the theatre. We certainly could not do it without all your help. We would like to thank the Fallon Ford-Toyota “Pay It Forward” program for the generous donation we received and all those people who were kind enough to ask for the money to be donated to our cause. We would especially like to thank the board and staff of the Commission for Cultural Centers and Historic Preservation who have funded many of our projects.

Hope to see you all at the movies!

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
