Human Trafficking Complaint Leads to Joint Arrest by Sheriff's Office

The Churchill County Sheriff’s Office released information on Monday, December 13 that they began working with the Reno H.E.A.T (Human Exploitation and Trafficking) Team after receiving a complaint of Kyle Anthony Dugan, a 29-year-old male, utilizing social media apps and text to befriend a female juvenile who was under the age of 14 and attempting to arrange a meeting with her. While working this case Kyle Dugan was in contact via social media and text with a member of the Reno H.E.A.T team who was posing as 13-year-old female. During these conversations Dugan made numerous sexually oriented comments to the H.E.A.T Detective who was posing as the 13-year-old prior to arranging to meet her.

Friday, December 10th, Kyle Anthony Dugan, was arrested by Investigators from Churchill County Sheriff’s Office who were working closely with the H.E.A.T team and members of the Fallon Police Department. Kyle Dugan was arrested on the following charges stemming from the Sheriff’s Office Investigations, his bail was set at just over $400,000.00, and he has posted bail at this time.

1. Attempted Sexual Assault with a child under the age of 14.

2. Attempted Kidnapping of a child under the age of 14.

3. Luring a child with the use of a computer for sex.

4. Attempt to use or permit a minor under the age of 14 to be subject in a portrayal or performance.

5. Attempted contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

6. Attempted child luring.

The Churchill County Sheriff’s Office takes these reports very seriously and are grateful to our partners with the H.E.A.T team and the Fallon Police Department for helping us arrest this subject.
