Wishing Tree is a program providing holiday gifts for children in our community and is a combined effort between local agencies and community members.
The program is now accepting applications for Churchill County youth ages birth to 17 years whose family meets income and residency requirements.
Applications can be picked up in person from the Churchill County Social Services Office, 485 West B Street, Suite 105 in Fallon during normal business hours. Applications are due no later than Thursday, Oct. 21 at 5 p.m.; late applications will not be accepted.
Wishing trees will be placed in various locations around the community closer to the holidays. Those wanting to help provide gifts should pull a child’s “ornament” from the tree for basic information like age, gender, and clothing size to aid in their shopping.

The Wishing Tree program is possible due to the combined efforts of the CC Communications Independent Telecommunications Pioneer Associations, Churchill County Social Services, and contributions from community members.
