As summer is coming to an end, my family has decided to take one last family trip together. My whole family, including my grandma, aunts, uncles, and more are all going on a houseboat for a week, to celebrate the end of summer and to enjoy the hot weather on the lake.
Although I'm very unhappy about summer coming to an end, I think I will really enjoy this small but exciting last summer vacation. I’m very thrilled that we are going on a houseboat. I have never been on a boat before, and now I get to go on a houseboat with my entire family. It’s even better because it has a slide on the second floor.
My grandma was the one who got this idea. She was sweet enough to pay all expenses for her entire family to have an amazing time together. I’m very happy she decided to do this for us. This is going to be an amazing time that we will remember.
This summer was one of my best summers. I traveled for the most part and learned amazing things and saw cool stuff. This year overall was amazing. I was busy the entire summer doing fun and crazy things. I traveled to Hawaii and stayed for more than a month and the craziest thing I did was jump off a bridge and snorkel with turtles.
Afterward, I had created a lemonade stand with my cousin to raise money for my trip to D.C. After that, I went to Washington for a Jr. National Young Leaders Conference, where I learned a lot and saw most of the monuments. Now I will be going to Lake Shasta in California to live on a houseboat for a week with my whole family.
Summer is an amazing time, but I really enjoy the school year also. To me, learning is very important, but I still love to have fun at the same time. I’m sad that summer is coming to an end, but at the same time, I’m excited for school to start.
