Chamber Job Fair on Friday

Chamber Job Fair on Friday
The Fallon Chamber of Commerce will host a Job Fair this Friday, March 22, 2019. It will be held at the Fallon Convention Center, 100 Campus Way from 9:00AM – 1:00PM. Executive Director, Lucy Carnahan encourages job seakers to come prepared for onsite interviews, along with an updated resume, and dressed appropriately for meeting with a potential employer. When the potential employees arrive they will check in at the front table in the lobby and be given a diagram to the location of each booth and an explanation of what employers are attending. Carnahan say many people have been offered employment while attending this semiannual job fair. "If you are an individual attending this Friday, it is a good idea to check out the websites and update yourself on the companies that will be there that you may be interested in," she said. Sponsors for the Job Fair are Banner Community Hospital, Highland Manor, Jacobson Staffing, Manpower, Premier Magnesia, Tedford Auto, A & K Earth Movers, The Homestead, Churchill County Sheriff’s Office,  Fallon Police Department, Fleet & Family Services, Navy Exchange, New Frontier, Nugget/Bonanza, New Millennium,  Nevada Department of Transportation, SOC, Vocational Rehabilitation, English as a Second Language, JOIN, Nevada Human Development Corporation. We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
