Logos Christian Academy announced yesterday the results from the annual fundraising Dinner Auction held this past Saturday evening. Supporters of the school raised a gross total of $65,953.75, with a net of nearly $62,000 - almost double what was earned two years ago.

Of that amount, $22,550 was raised for the Capital Campaign Fund, and an additional $5,000 was raised for the new Logos Benevolent Fund. The remaining amount will be utilized to maintain low tuition costs, provide tuition assistance through the Financial Assistance Program, and help with the annual overall budget for the school.

Logos now has $46,983.06 in the Capital Campaign fund. The board is actively working to meet the needs of students and the school overall. The administration staff is looking short-term at adding modulars and long-term, being able to purchase their own property/building.

Pam Duarte, Headmaster at Logos said, “It seems impossible, but we know that with God all things are possible.”

The new Benevolent Fund will be used to support Logos families going through emergency/crisis situations at the discretion of the board, and there will be more information in the near future.

“We are beyond grateful to God for His bountiful blessings and to each one of you who attended, donated items, gave straight financial donations, and purchased items that evening.  In a year that has been financially challenging for so many, our Fallon and Logos communities have been beyond generous,” said Duarte.

She also thanked the donors who contributed to the evening, including the wonderfully catered dinner by Country Club Cafe (Fallon Catering), and gave a special appreciation to Alyssa Sowersby (event chair), as well as UPLIFT and other incredible parent volunteers. “Your support is valued and deeply appreciated,” she said.

Logos provides a classical, Christain-based education to families in Fallon, with an aim to, "prepare students to become young men and women who think clearly and listen carefully with discernment and understanding; who reason persuasively and articulate precisely."

Who and what they REALLY were. Because they were devotional and IMPORTANT to the humans they connected with. The content of their life bled so that others could feel their own life’s importance. Teachers of justifiable life and art. That all can absorb and use as the best fertilizer for THEIR lives. Giving the silent secrets and the loud guidance. The Melon Man was a perfect specimen for how to devote. His passing meant a life book of feeling/knowing what gives other humans their paths to Love and Knowledge. Some humans are meant to show others their paths. And in that they secrete ways to profitably exist.Comment publication date: 3/18/26, 4:50 PMComment source: In memorium -- The Melon Man
