E.H. Hursh Receives Prestigious Award

Fallon’s own E.H. Hursh Insurance was recently awarded the Southwest Region’s 2020 Agency of the Year Award. This honor, awarded by Capital Insurance Group (CIG), recognized Hursh’s commitment to their customers and their ability to thrive in challenging times.

CIG President and CEO Andy Doll stated, “There is a doubly special meaning for naming E.H. Hursh as CIG’s Agency of the Year - Southwest Region winner. Not only have they seen continued growth, but they have demonstrated a level of commitment over a changing business environment. What a joy to share in this award, and an even greater level of excitement for the years ahead of us.”

Family-owned and operated, E.H. Hursh has been providing insurance to the community for four generations and was established in 1919. Specializing in various insurance products, they continue to do business according to their motto, “Service first.”

“I have personally worked with Christopher Rogne and his team for over 13 years, and their dedication and partnership to CIG is phenomenal,” said Barbara Peay, CIG’s Agency Development Manager. “E.H. Hursh is one of the few agencies that provides consistent growth for all lines of business for CIG,” stated Victor Foggie, Regional Field Executive at CIG. “It is not often that you find an agency that consistently hits on all cylinders.”

“CIG is a great company and we appreciate them,” said Chris Rogne, E.H. Hursh president, “We are very grateful for the sup- port of our community and all of our clients – none of this would be possible with out them.” With a small staff of seven and over a hundred years serving Fallon, E.H. Hursh has one message to share, “We value our community.”

E.H. Hursh welcomes anyone in need of insurance to give them a call, stating, “Let us earn your business.” They can be found downtown at 295 S. Maine in Fallon or by calling 775-423-6501.

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
