District Court from March 16

Tenth Judicial District Court convened March 16, 2021, with the Honorable Judge Thomas Stockard presiding.

Tiffany Ann Scott pled guilty to (1) Offer, Attempt or Commission of an Unauthorized Act Relating to the Manufacture or Compounding of Certain Controlled Substances, a Category C Felony, with a potential penalty of 1-5 years in prison, (2) Principle to Burglary of a Business, a Category C Felony, (1-5 years), (3) Destroying or Concealing Evidence, a gross misdemeanor, that carries up to 364 days in jail. Charles Woodman Esq., defense counsel for Scott, stated that on October 15, his client did sell methamphetamines. On December 27, Scott did also aid or abet Anthony Paris in grand larceny or bur- glary of the Silver Sage Laundromat, Over- land Hotel and Bar, and Harmon Junction, by assisting him with break-ins of a change machine or ATM, and she did dispose of an ATM stolen from the Overland Hotel and Bar. Sentencing is scheduled for June 8.

Frank Lloyd Perry pled guilty to a single count of Assault with a Deadly Weapon, a Category B Felony with a potential penalty of 1-6 years in prison. According to Churchill County Public Defender (CCPD) Wright Noel, his client did chase someone with a knife. Sentencing is set for June 8.

Rikki Jo Nuesmeyer pled guilty to Offer, Attempt, or Commission of an Unauthorized Act Relating to Manufacture or Compounding of Certain Controlled Substances, a Category C Felony which carries 1-5 years in prison. CCPD Wright Noel stated that his client sold methamphetamine to a cooperating source. Sentencing is scheduled for June 8.

Patrick David Sannella entered a plea of not guilty to several violent charges, which include: (1) Battery that Constitutes Domestic Violence, a Category B Felony, with a potential penalty of 1-6 years in prison, (2) Battery that Constitutes Domestic Violence, a third or subsequent offense, a Category B Felony, (1-6 years), (3) Intimidating a Public Officer with Threat or Force, a Category B Felony, (1-5 years), and (4) Possession or Control of a Dangerous Weapon or Facsimile by an Incarcerated Person, a Category B Felony, also carrying 1-5 years in prison. The trial is set for October 4-8.

Sara Michelle Jones was remanded to custody with a $50,000 cash-only bail. According to Churchill County Court Services, Jones failed to meet her release conditions after failing to appear for three random drug tests and to call in per her release agreement. Previously, Jones missed 11 random drug tests. Court Services reported Jones's non-compliance, which requires that she be returned to custody. Assistant District Attorney (ADA) Priscilla Baker stated that Jones repeatedly fails to comply. Jones was charged after allegedly stealing from people for whom she cleaned homes. Jones said that the incident in December, which brought her to where she is, has changed her life, and she does not believe that she missed tests as the allegations state.

A cost analysis should be created so we can see what is reasonable cost for that pasture. 3.the tenants of that pasture Have not changed for years .I think they need to open it up for all eligible applicants in Churchill County!Comment publication date: 4/23/26, 9:25 AMComment source: Ranchers Push Back as NDOW Nearly Doubles Carson Pasture Grazing FeesComment author: David KittleComment text: I praise the Lord that you are now in your heavenly home and no longer in pain. We are deeply saddened by the loss of Sophie. We still remember her from your visit to Edmonton when Sophie was just a little girl. I can still see her standing on the sidewalk beside your car and waving madly with a big smile as if she’d always known us and we were now best friends. We are so thankful to know a deep faith runs through your family and you know that Sophie is freed from her pain and is at home with her Lord and Saviour. May God grant all of you the peace and comfort that only God can give during this time of grief.Comment publication date: 4/20/26, 4:05 PMComment source: Sophia Katherine BehimerComment author: ThughesComment text: Thanks to all who came and stood up !
