Movie Review -- Christmas Edition

Movie Review -- Christmas Edition

It is... count them... seven days until Christmas Day. For this week’s review, I would like to share my favorite Christmas countdown entertaining things.

While I love the newer Christmas movies like Elf, the ultimate classic I require everyone to view each year is A Christmas Story. Ralphie and his family are the most realistic rendition of kids and parents during the Christmas season, even today, 80 years after the movie takes place.

My favorite detail about this movie, is that the jokes hold up year to year. The infamous bunny suit and leg lamp still pull giggles deep from my gut after watching the movie for 22 straight years. At the same time, each year that I grow older, there are new jokes I understand differently, and situations I relate to better as I inch nearer to the parents’ age rather than the kids.’

This movie will never fade into Christmas history, and should be shared with each generation of your family.

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
