Belle la Vie Salon and Boutique Now Open

Belle la Vie Salon and Boutique Now Open

Amidst the 2020 madness and the flurry of the holidays, you may not have noticed the few new businesses that have popped up around town. Among them is Kristy Lehman’s new salon and boutique, Belle la Vie, located at 997 W. Williams Avenue in Fallon.

Belle la vie, the French phrase for “beautiful life,” has a relaxing French country-shabby chic vibe and offers an array of salon services. Haircuts for men, women, and kids are on the menu along with hair styling, coloring, permanents, and traditional wash and sets. The salon also offers nail services, beard trims, facials, waxing, eyelash extensions, and lash lift/tinting. Lehman is presently working on merchandising a small boutique area in the salon where she plans to offer professional styling products and a bit of jewelry, unique gift items, and farmhouse/shabby chic/western style treasures.

According to Lehman, she has been waiting for the right time to start a business of her own. While 2020 has been anything but an ideal time to launch an entrepreneurial venture, she refused to let the COVID madness stand in her way. The result – Belle la Vie.

Inside the salon, you will find beautifully painted French country style antique pieces and decor. With a passion for repurposing vintage items that have seen their better days, Lehman used chalk painting techniques to create authentic-looking pieces. With that, along with her interior design skills, she invented a charming, peaceful space for clients to enjoy.

“I envisioned something elegant yet comfortable that would make people feel welcome and relaxed,” said Lehman. “I spent months at the salon, day and night, making sure I got everything just right.” Her husband, Todd Lehman, has supported her decision and has encouraged her along the way. Fortunately for her, he also has enviable construction and carpentry skills. And, when you walk into Belle la Vie, there may just be a gentle wave of appreciation for the beauties of life.

Changing careers and deciding to open a new business during such a uniquely stressful period in history demonstrates nothing less than moxie. Despite the numerous challenges and restrictions on salons, Lehman remains optimistic. “I have always dreamed of opening my own business,” she stated. “It may take some time to bring in all the boutique items I would like, but I hope to be on track for early next year after the business mandates are lifted.”

Belle la Vie held a soft opening at the end of October, but Lehman is waiting until the COVID restrictions are lifted and the boutique is stocked before scheduling a grand opening. While walk-ins are not allowed by the Governor’s mandate, she can get clients in very quickly. Presently, Lehman has another hairdresser in the salon, Carrigan Rogers, who also offers a variety of styling services.

Belle la Vie is offering Christmas specials now through January 15th. They include senior citizen haircuts, $10 for men, and $15 for women, along with mini-facials - two for $99, with gift cards available.

For an appointment, call Kristy at 775-423-4828 or 775-217-1879. Belle la Vie Salon is located in the business mall across from the old DMV office at 997 W. Williams Avenue. You can find Belle la vie on Facebook and Instagram @bellelaviecosmo or by email at

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
