Personnel Issue Investigated by School District

Personnel Issue Investigated by School District

The Churchill County School District has issued a statment regarding a reported personnel issue.

"The school district takes all allegations of sexual harassment or abuse, including any inappropriate conduct, very seriously. Each allegation is thoroughly investigated, and appropriate action is taken when there is any evidence of misbehavior."

Superintendent Summer Stephens said that the allegations have been thoroughly investigated and if people have evidence of misconduct they should bring that to the district or report that to the police. "Allegations have been made on social media and people are being tried in the court of public opinion. Quite frankly, accusations need to be taken to the proper forum, through the proper channels where something can be done."

Stephens urges the public, "If you have direct knowledge of inappropriate conduct, please contact me at the district office, 775-423-5184, or the Fallon Police Department."

Just an observation of what I have noticed ever since I have lived here in Fallon. People here are very into drama and gossiping. I will be out somewhere and be subjected to overhearing obviously bored people engaging in this activity. Never experienced anything like this anywhere else in Northern Nevada. They really need to introduce some healthier and more productive pastimes out here.

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
