Local Students Perform with Reno Phil

By Scott Winter, CCHS Principal On January 7, Churchill County High School orchestra students Jazmyne Bullock and Shailynn Winter, along with other members from surrounding communities, performed with the Reno Philharmonic as part of the Reno Phil's 50th Anniversary. Community members spent four hours rehearsing in sections with members of the Phil to prepare for the hour-long concert later that evening. Some of the pieces that were performed were: William Tell Overture, Stars and Stripes Forever, and a movement from Peter and the Wolf. Both ladies had an amazing experience and represented CCHS well!
