According to a statement released by the Churchill County School District in an email to families this afternoon, local schools will be closed in accordance with the Governor’s mandatory closure of all K-12 schools in the state. The district will work with the City of Fallon and Churchill County to develop plans to help students and families during the closures. The school district is asking parents to update their contact information in Infinite Campus so they receive the most up to date information as soon as it is released. Anyone needing assistance with that process can call 423-5184. The district is also working on solutions for providing food service options for students, and will continue to update information as it is available.  They are also working to develop supplemental instruction in an online format, and expect to begin those efforts no later than March 23rd.   Posted at 3:34 p.m. —  Governor Sisolak announced at 3:00 p.m. today, that all public K-12 schools will close until April 6th in an effort to prevent the spread of the coronavirus or COVID-19. We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
