Guerrero, who placed 26th at the 3A State Tournament last year, shot 95 in the first meet of the season at Dayton on Sept. 8. The next day at Lowry, Guerrero shot 99 to finish in a 3-way tie for fourth place with Makinley Hislop and Maite Bengochea of Lowry.
Lexie Malama-Gomes shot 123 both days for the Greenwave.
Truckee’s Allison Mortimeyer was the low medalist both days, shooting 72 at Dayton and 75 at Lowry. Caitlyn Nielson of Elko placed second with a score of 88 at both meets.
With just two players competing, the Greenwave didn’t post a team score. Truckee won both meets, with a team score of 380 in Dayton and 390 at Lowry.
This week the Northern 3A was scheduled to play on Monday in Spring Creek and Tuesday in Elko. Next week the teams will play Sept. 21 in Fallon and Sept. 22 in Fernley
