Rotary-sponsored Boy Scout Troop 1776 is recruiting young men ages 11 through 17 who are interested in outdoor adventures, leadership, community service, and learning new skills.
The troop offers opportunities for Scouts to participate in camping, hiking, outdoor activities, and service projects, while developing confidence and leadership skills.
Troop 1776 will hold an open house Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 6:30 p.m. The event will take place at the Epworth United Methodist Church, 280 Stillwater Ave.
Prospective Scouts and their parents are invited to meet current Scouts and adult leaders, learn more about the Scouting program, and find out what Troop 1776 has to offer.
