After five long years, the beloved Discovery Room at the Churchill County Museum is once again open—and ready for curious minds and playful hands of all ages.

The newly reopened space brings back some of the community’s favorite hands-on exhibits while introducing fresh activities designed to spark imagination and old-fashioned fun. Whether you’re a kid or just a kid at heart, there’s something waiting to be explored.

“We’re thrilled to finally welcome the public back into the Discovery Room,” museum staff shared. “This has always been a central part of the CCM experience where learning and play come together in the best ways.”

The Discovery Room features more than a dozen interactive stations, ranging from arts and crafts to tactile learning and seasonal activities. Some stations are long-standing staples, while others will rotate throughout the year to keep things fresh for frequent visitors.

Guests are encouraged to stop by, try the activities, and stay a while. Photos of the new setup are available online, but the museum recommends experiencing it in person for the full effect. “Let your inner (or outer) child come play,” staff added with a smile.

While the room is designed to be inviting and hands-on, families are reminded to supervise children at all times to ensure a fun and safe environment for everyone.

Located inside the Churchill County Museum at 1050 S. Maine Street, the Discovery Room is free and open to the public during regular museum hours.

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
