Obituary - Ronald Warren Biggs
Ronald Warren Biggs

Ronald Warren Biggs, age 83, passed on May 4, 2025, peacefully at home with his family by his side in Fallon, NV.

Ron was born on June 13, 1941, to Floyd and Nola (Downs) Biggs in Reno, Nevada. They moved to Fallon when he was five years old. He graduated from Churchill County High School in 1959. His favorite activities were playing sports, hunting, fixing cars, and dragging Maine. He bought his first car at 15, a ’51 Chevy, with money he earned from mowing lawns around town.

After high school, he went to Oregon Technical Institute in Klamath Falls, OR, for Automotive Tech. He moved home and shortly after married Barbara Holmes and had his first daughter, Nikole (Nikki) Marie, in 1963.

He married the love of his life, Lynn Bryant, in 1968. Together, they blended their families with Nikki and Stacy and welcomed their son, Cody, in 1969.

Ron was a man of many talents that he turned into careers. He purchased and ran the Flying A service station in Fallon until 1968. After that, he became the General Manager at Jones Boys Motors. Ron was a natural salesman, he truly cared about every customer.  He was a self-taught taxidermist, starting with his own animals. Because he loved to hunt, he became a renowned hunting guide and turned both of those into a business, Wildlife West Taxidermy and Guide Service.  He loved helping hunters get the trophy animals they wanted.  He and Lynn bought J & L Trailer Sales in 1981 and enjoyed working together until their retirement in 2023.

He was a member of the Churchill County Volunteer Fire Department for 28 years.  He was a founding member of the Nevada Bighorns Unlimited and Hurricams Car Club.

Ron was an avid birdwatcher, Indian basket and artifact collector.  He enjoyed watching drag racing, NASCAR, and baseball.

Ron was known for his captivating storytelling, fun parties on his deck, and excellent taste in ‘boot scootin’ music played on his jukebox.

Ron was a kind and generous gentleman and a true family man. He was a model and mentor for many.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Nola Biggs.

Ron is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lynn Biggs; his sister Londa Jensen; children Nikki Jones, Stacy (Richie) Harriman, Cody (Christy) Biggs;  grandchildren Barry Jones, Sheri (Steven) Gregg, Jerry (Michelle) Jones , Terry Jones, Taralynn (Jimmy) Lao, Camryn (Josh) Henry, Kelsey (TW) Cunningham, Kelsey (Christian) Parker, Tristan (Megan) Harriman, Kyle O’Connor, KC O’Connor, Caitlin (Garrett) LLamas, Kayla (Ramiro) Sanchez, Koda (Andrea) Biggs; great grandchildren, Ella, Desiree, Mason, Dayne, Jasmine, Blake, Brynley, Emilia, Emmelyn, Madelynn, Noah, Poppy, and soon to come, Kaladin.  Plus, many friends who cherished him.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Churchill County Fire Department or Nevada Bighorns Unlimited, in Ron’s name.

A celebration of life will be held on June 14, 2025, at Ron’s favorite party place, his deck, at 660 Cleveland St.

Please come anytime, 1 p.m. – 6 p.m., to share a story and have a drink.

From the editor: This is a very good question and we apologize for not catching that wasn't in there. We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITORComment author: Debra J RidenourComment text: So sorry for your loss.
