Lions Club Fun Day of Shooting

Lions Club Fun Day of Shooting

The Fallon Lions Club and Ryan Hiibel, Committee Chairperson, would like to invite anyone interested in shooting clay targets to the Fallon Trap Club on Saturday, September 28, for its second annual clay shooting competition and Fallon Lions Club Fundraiser.

Sign-ups begin at 8:00 a.m., and early registration is appreciated. People can sign up on the shoot day, but registration will be an additional $5. The shoot is open to the public. However, youth shooters must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

One of last year’s shoot winners was Wyatt Ricks, the only youth who signed up. Because he was the only youth shooting, Wyatt had to shoot with the adults and hit a perfect score of 50 out of 50 targets.

There will be an Annie Oakley Shoot immediately after the clay target shoot. For those who may not be familiar with this, each shooter takes a shot at a clay target. If the first person should hit the clay target, then the next person in line shoots. If that person should miss, then it goes to the next shooter or shooters until the target is hit again. At the end of the line, the people who missed must all step out of the line and place their guns in the rack. Once again, the line begins shooting as before until the entire line has shot. Those who missed step out of the line, rack their gun, and the line starts again until there is a single winner.

The registrations includes an all-you-can-eat taco bar and many raffle prizes. Non-shooters may enjoy the taco bar for $10.
Legacy Sports will have a booth set up and will be happy to answer any questions.

For more information, please call Ryan Hiibel at 775-427-9249 or email him at [email protected]

They strung them along for years until they had no financial choice but to accept and get out. My Dad even hauled water for the Snow ranch trying to stay afloat. May God bless you all. I truly pray it works out for you.Comment publication date: 3/28/26, 9:22 PMComment source: Local Rancher Says Navy Land Expansion is Devastating His Family RanchComment author: Lynn JohnsonComment text: I remember your mother well; she was a lovely and kind woman. I see glimpses of your face in the years worn onto my dad. It makes me feel more connected to you in some way. I remember the familiar kindness from you that I know in my dad. I would’ve really liked to have a good conversation. I only have a handful of memories with you, but you were loving, and you were kind. I wish I was able to say more. If I am someone to you, I hope I make you proud. Thank you Aunt for this sweet post.Comment publication date: 3/27/26, 12:11 AMComment source: Obituary -- Randolph Floris Banovich C Comment author: RBCComment text: The Navy should reimburse the market cost of replacing the grazing land they are taking.
