Who doesn’t love a parade? Nevada’s longest-running Armed Forces Day Parade and Celebration will be held in Hawthorne, Nevada, from May 14 to 19. The Armed Forces Day Committee is looking for parade entries to gather and celebrate in America’s Patriotic Home, Hawthorne.

Nonprofit, individual, commercial, and political entries are invited to participate. First-place winners in all six categories will receive trophies or plaques. School bands and/or non-profit marching groups may receive a cash award. Celebrate with us, share your parade entry with thousands of residents and visitors, and make the 73rd Armed Forces Day the best celebration yet.

Parade applications are due by May 10. You can register your entry for as little as $10. Parade Entry Packets and more detailed fee information can be found online at www.ArmedForcesDayNV.com. For additional information, call 775-866-7705 or email [email protected].

The theme of the event is “To Those Who Serve, Thank You!” The parade will begin with a U. S. Navy military jet flyover. Aviation support has always been the kickoff to the parade. The sound and feel of the aircraft flying over is a powerful thing, filling everyone present with pride. It's a moving thing to see, hear and feel. The goal of the three-day event is to celebrate our armed forces for all they have done and show them and the next generation that our military is to be appreciated, honored, and supported.

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
