CCHS: David Dakin's Construction Home Building class students had an incredible first semester. The home is enclosed, and the students are proud of how far they have come.

ECB:  Students in Alyssa Tousignant’s third-grade class wrote a statement of appreciation about each classmate. Acknowledging how the most incredible gift doesn't cost anything and can bring so much joy. Tousingant turned the statements into appreciation trees, which she printed and laminated for the students to take home.

CCMS: Students in Vickie Purrell’s class had a surprise Starbuck's Hot Cocoa Workday to celebrate the end of the first semester. The students played card games and challenged themselves to figure out two Digital Breakouts, like escape rooms.

NELC invited their families in for an afternoon of gingerbread decorating and Christmas music with the students before they were dismissed for Winter Break. Students got a surprise visit from Santa and the Grinch.

Numa: Librarian Samantha Baglin took several boxes of gently used books and displayed them on the tables in the library. The classes were invited to come find an interesting book for family or friends. Baglin helped them wrap their selections up as Christmas gifts.

LES: Students in Stacey Manning’s first-grade class learned that Christmas is a time of giving and a time to help out those in need or those less fortunate if possible. They learned several holiday songs and went caroling at Highland Manor and The Homestead. The students also made the residents holiday cards, and handed out flowers to the residents.

Who and what they REALLY were. Because they were devotional and IMPORTANT to the humans they connected with. The content of their life bled so that others could feel their own life’s importance. Teachers of justifiable life and art. That all can absorb and use as the best fertilizer for THEIR lives. Giving the silent secrets and the loud guidance. The Melon Man was a perfect specimen for how to devote. His passing meant a life book of feeling/knowing what gives other humans their paths to Love and Knowledge. Some humans are meant to show others their paths. And in that they secrete ways to profitably exist.Comment publication date: 3/18/26, 4:50 PMComment source: In memorium -- The Melon Man
