Movies & More: “The Rocky Horror Picture Show" at the Fallon Theatre tonight

Thank you to everyone who joined us for two great movies this last weekend, along with the great Chautauqua program presented by the Churchill County Museum. Also, a reminder that we are a non-profit organization that owns and operates the Fallon Theatre - and everyone is a volunteer.

Free movies - playing this Friday and Saturday evening, October 27 and 28, at 6 p.m. is the 1987 sci-fi comedy “Spaceballs.” In a distant galaxy, planet Spaceball has depleted its air supply, leaving its citizens reliant on a product called Perri-Air. In desperation, Spaceball's leader orders the evil Dark Helmet to kidnap Princess Vespa of oxygen-rich Druidia and hold her hostage in exchange for air. But help arrives for the princess in the form of renegade space pilot Lone Starr and his half-man, half-dog partner Barf. Starring Rick Moranis, Bill Pullman, Mel Brooks, John Candy, and many more.

Join us Saturday evening, October 28, for our annual showing of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show.” Tickets for this show are $5 per person and can be purchased at the theatre concession stand the night of the show. This musical, horror, comedy film is a cult classic. Sweethearts Brad and Janet are stuck with a flat tire during a storm and discover the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, a transvestite scientist. As their innocence is lost, Brad and Janet meet a houseful of wild characters, including a rocking biker and a creepy butler. Through elaborate dances and rock songs, Frank-N-Further unveils his latest creation: a muscular man named Rocky. Starring Barry Bostwick, Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon and Meat Loaf.

Don't forget to mark your calendars for November 11 as The Will Shamberger Band, along with High Desert Habit, take our stage. Music begins at 7 p.m., doors open at 6, and tickets are only $12.

See you at the movies!

Who and what they REALLY were. Because they were devotional and IMPORTANT to the humans they connected with. The content of their life bled so that others could feel their own life’s importance. Teachers of justifiable life and art. That all can absorb and use as the best fertilizer for THEIR lives. Giving the silent secrets and the loud guidance. The Melon Man was a perfect specimen for how to devote. His passing meant a life book of feeling/knowing what gives other humans their paths to Love and Knowledge. Some humans are meant to show others their paths. And in that they secrete ways to profitably exist.Comment publication date: 3/18/26, 4:50 PMComment source: In memorium -- The Melon Man
