One of the summer’s best traditions in the Lahontan Valley, the Fallon Junior Rodeo will be held over Labor Day weekend, kicking off Friday night, September 1, and running through Monday, September 4.
Jennifur Peek, who serves as the secretary for the rodeo, and her youngest contestant, Quintin Peek, who will rodeo this year as a Pee-Wee, along with Rodeo Queen Macady Bogdanowicz, made a presentation to the County Commissioners last week, requesting an annual contribution and reporting on the upcoming event.
“The Fallon Junior Rodeo is the best junior rodeo in all Nevada,” said Bogdanowicz, “The reason it is so great is we have an amazing rodeo committee, wonderful volunteers, awesome prizes, and a ton of community support. Thank you for your support of our rodeo. We look forward to many great years ahead.”
Last year there were 239 participants in the rodeo, coming from as far away as Washington, Idaho, Arizona, and California. “We’ve made a name for ourselves,” said Peek, “people know they can count on things being right, and we have fun events for the spectators and the contestants.”
Peek said costs have increased considerably, with the trophy saddles running $1,800 alone. The committee asked for $3,000 in county funding, and commissioners unanimously approved that.

We reached out to the writer/submitter and got this info back...hope it's helpful. PBM: Pharmacy Benefit Managers are pharmacies that are owned by insurance companies. (CVS is one.) They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO). When applied to pharmaceuticals, it could disrupt global access, deter innovation, and obscure the deeper systemic issues in American health care. https://petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2025/05/22/the-global-risks-of-americas-most-favored-nation-drug-pricing-policy/Comment publication date: 6/23/25, 7:47 AMComment source: L E T T E R TO THE EDITOR
