Movies & More

A great big thank you to George Morrow and the Electric Kazoo Orchestra for the benefit concert they performed last Saturday night and thank you to all that attended.

The live music keeps rolling on. Join us this Saturday evening, April 22, as we welcome for the first time to our stage, Split Persona, who will be playing with a Fallon favorite, The Will Shamberger Band. Great music starts at 7 p.m., doors open at 6, and tickets are $12 each. Hope to see you there.

Yes, we still show movies, and they are free. Join us this Friday, April 21, at 6:30 p.m. for the special showings sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, of the 2012 epic historical war drama film “For the Greater Glory.” What price would you pay for freedom? In this exhilarating action epic, an impassioned group of men and women decide to risk it all for family, faith, and country. This film unfolds the hidden true story of the 1920s Cristeros War. Starring Peter O’Toole, Andy Garcia, Eva Longoria, and Ruben Blades.

As for music, we keep moving forward with The Lincoln Highway Band once again playing on our stage Saturday, May 6. This great group was one of the original bands to play on our stage. Doors open at 6 p.m., the concert starts at 7, and tickets are $7 each.

Comment author: Claude EzzellComment text: Paul was one of the most manifest men I have ever met. He was a good friends with my Dad and always had an entertaining story for the occasion. One of my most favorite stories Paul told dated back to the late 60s or early 70s and it revolved around him killing a deer way out in the mountains. Naturally the deer ran down into a deep canyon and died. Knowing that it would take him forever to haul it out he devised an awesome plan. After preparing the deer he drove back to NAS Fallon and rustled up a SAR crew and they flew out and picked up the deer. Of course it was labeled as a training flight but what the hell in those days you could do that sort of thing. Rest in Peace my friend until we meet again!!Comment publication date: 4/11/24, 1:15 PMComment source: Obituary - LCDR Paul N PflimlinComment author: THughesComment text: So sad to hear.
