Awards were made in ten categories of donated hours in ranges that started at under 100 hours and went up to over 10,000 hours. Berte Harmon, one of the longest-standing members with 25 years of service has donated 23,532 hours since joining the group. Other ladies who have donated over 10,000 hours include Nancy Balash with 11,587 hours, Doris Joslyn with 11,706.25 hours, and Judy Adams with 13,100.25 hours. Each of the 50 members received a pin representing the range of the number of hours they have donated so far, with more than half of them in attendance.

The Banner Auxiliary holds its meetings on the second Monday of each month. The board meeting begins at 9 a.m. and the general membership meeting begins at 10:30 a.m. Effective with the March meetings, both will now be held in the Fireside Room at Epworth Methodist Church, 280 Stillwater Avenue. Auxiliary business, monthly birthday celebrations, presentations or activities, and lunch are always included. More information about the auxiliary can also be found on their Facebook page,

Comment author: Claude EzzellComment text: Paul was one of the most manifest men I have ever met. He was a good friends with my Dad and always had an entertaining story for the occasion. One of my most favorite stories Paul told dated back to the late 60s or early 70s and it revolved around him killing a deer way out in the mountains. Naturally the deer ran down into a deep canyon and died. Knowing that it would take him forever to haul it out he devised an awesome plan. After preparing the deer he drove back to NAS Fallon and rustled up a SAR crew and they flew out and picked up the deer. Of course it was labeled as a training flight but what the hell in those days you could do that sort of thing. Rest in Peace my friend until we meet again!!Comment publication date: 4/11/24, 1:15 PMComment source: Obituary - LCDR Paul N PflimlinComment author: THughesComment text: So sad to hear.
