During the winter solstice, we saw our longest shadow of the year. Now as our shadow begins to shorten, we can think of it as what we need to sacrifice, release, or let go of in order to rise to our greatest potential. Aries - there is great potential this week to rise above your own inner conflicts. You can overcome your own obstacles by surrendering pride and finding the courage to sacrifice rigid thinking. Keeping your inner thought process to yourself is a spiritual success as long as you can move forward with optimism and pure intentions.
Taurus – surrender, quit, release - it is done and over, and that is a sweet relief. Although endings can be painful, the beautiful part is what comes next: opportunity and possibility. But first let go of the need to control the situation. Rest and recuperate.
Gemini - if you’re not getting the help you need or want, the situation can end up controlling your feelings and decisions. Let go of keeping tabs on who is giving and who isn’t. This will free you up to try again. Allow yourself to move past the motives and behaviors of others. Stand on your own principles, free from whether or not you get help, and risk being the one who goes first.
Cancer - you’ll learn something about yourself this week, if you can be open to learning from others. Sometimes it’s hard to hear constructive criticism, but you’re taking it under consideration. It will be beneficial for your own personal growth. Just let go of the notion that you should censor or monitor yourself now. Keep in mind that you are growing and learning, not shrinking yourself.
Leo - it’s time to take action, move forward and experience the becoming phase. You can get stuck on the planning phase if you over analyze or focus too long on the what ifs. There may be a little uncertainty, but you have the energy to get things done, so focus on the goal, direct your energy to the desired outcome and go for it.
Virgo - your energy this week is proactive with a willingness to extend and share your light with others. Release any situation that makes you feel as if you are not good enough. This only causes frustration and keeps you locked in a bleak mental outlook focused on what is lacking. It’s time to have a little fun, so melt your defenses. Go forth and shine your light.
Libra - the waiting game is taking too long, you’re ready to make your move. Life is just too short to stay hurt or mad, so you’ll have an ambitious attitude to go get it done yourself. We can wait around forever hoping someone will do for us. This week shows you how to take actions for your own desires and make them happen. The paradox is: you’ll have to sacrifice the wanting of the other person to make the sacrifice.
Scorpio - you have a lot of raw power this week, this is good, just be aware of how you focus and put it to use. Careful that it doesn't come back to burn you next week. Letting go of selfishness and trying to get it your way is what sets you free - and you're off running. This doesn’t seem to be too big of an obstacle with all that firepower your feeling.

Capricorn - you might be too smart for your own good this week. You may be trying to avoid someone or something, but in the end, you’re just robbing yourself of love. Pisces - you can go the distance this week, knowing what you are responsible for and taking action to complete or follow through to the end. If you have been carrying a burden or grudge it can be worked out now and laid to rest. Surrender any negative attitude in order to move into your more supportive, stable, and reliable energy.
