Book Review -- Savage News by Jessica Yellin

Book Review -- Savage News by Jessica Yellin
Journalist Natalie Savage had finally made the big time as a White House correspondent for a major television network; a goal she has aspired to since girlhood. The problem is that it’s temporary, as she is forced to compete for the spot permanently with a pretty boy/no substance/inexperienced upstart whose major asset is that he looks great on camera. The battle ensues as Savage negotiates Washington D.C. politics, gaslight harassment, office politics, and getting along with her producer.  We meet her family, attend her mother’s wedding, are introduced to the new man in her life and watch as she tries to balance the whole kit ‘n’ caboodle. This novel is satire at its best. The witty conversation is a plus. Yellin is a former CNN Chief White House Correspondent so I’m guessing she speaks from experience on more than a few levels. Carol Lloyd is the Director of the Churchill County Library and is a bit of a political and news junkie-assuming it’s possible to be a “bit of a junkie.”   Never miss the local news -- read more on The Fallon Post home page. Who and what they REALLY were. Because they were devotional and IMPORTANT to the humans they connected with. The content of their life bled so that others could feel their own life’s importance. Teachers of justifiable life and art. That all can absorb and use as the best fertilizer for THEIR lives. Giving the silent secrets and the loud guidance. The Melon Man was a perfect specimen for how to devote. His passing meant a life book of feeling/knowing what gives other humans their paths to Love and Knowledge. Some humans are meant to show others their paths. And in that they secrete ways to profitably exist.Comment publication date: 3/18/26, 4:50 PMComment source: In memorium -- The Melon Man
