We had a successful Discovery Kitchen at E.C. Best on Monday. Students had the opportunity to try homemade pumpkin bread and homemade banana bread. They were super excited to try something new and are already talking about how they cannot wait for the next Discovery pop up event.
We have been holding these pop-up events every Monday at a different school. The students are loving it. On Thursday, we held our first Chartwells “student choice” event at CCHS. This is a tasting event where our students get to try and vote for the concept they like the best. After tasting both dishes, they get to cast their vote for their favorite.
There was a dish we like to call, Mac & Cheesyology. This is a macaroni and cheese served with a honey Buffalo sauce and topped with some Pico De Gallo. The other concept was Butcher & Baker which was a sandwich and Italian wrap concept. Both dishes were really a big hit.
However, after tallying the students' votes, their choice for the best concept was the Mac & Cheesyology. This dish will be added to the menu at the High School in January.
