School is in Session - A view from our classrooms

School is in Session - A view from our classrooms
Second grader, Jaxson Lister

Second graders at E.C. Best in Traci Ledesma's class read aloud the story, You're Finally Here, and then they did an activity shown by Jaxson Lister. Kari Lister, a teacher at EC Best, wants the parents to know, “Overall, it is going well, kind of weird with the masks and all the cleaning/health procedures, but other than that, well. I am so happy to be back in the classroom with my kiddos and you can tell that they are happy to be back too”

Students in Ms. Golden’s 2nd grade are practicing interacting with their peers while social distancing and sharing what it feels like to be back in their classroom. The students have responded well to being back in class and are positive about the upcoming year. Students pictured below: Tayler Jensen, Cooper Shuey, Paris Manzo and Leland Dewey; writings by: Berlynn Johnson, Isaiah Goldfin and Krista Dalton.

Students from Mrs. Lister’s 3rd grade proudly displayed their projects after reading the story The Jelly Doughnut Difference. After reading the story, the class  then talked about the many different ways to be kind. Students then did an activity that displayed ways that they felt they could be better at being kind. Pictured below are Sophia Alexander, and Michael Lister.

Numa students are doing a great job of being respectful of distancing from each other as they get ready to head home after their morning at school.

Students from Mrs. Solinski’s 5th grade enjoyed learning about each other and practicing social distancing as they interviewed fellow classmates. Pictured below are Keiandrea Milbrook and Angela Gonzales (by window), and Tyler Crystal and Kynzlee Krata.

I honestly can’t believe you are gone…..you were a wonderful human being, with a HUGE heart and soul. Hearing this makes my heart break! You are forever in our hearts, and I can say I feel blessed that I was able to know you! Rest easy sweet Farren xoxoComment publication date: 3/23/26, 12:30 PMComment source: Obituary- Farren CrosslandComment author: Tiffany LundleeComment text: I will miss you so very much Bryan. Who and what they REALLY were. Because they were devotional and IMPORTANT to the humans they connected with. The content of their life bled so that others could feel their own life’s importance. Teachers of justifiable life and art. That all can absorb and use as the best fertilizer for THEIR lives. Giving the silent secrets and the loud guidance. The Melon Man was a perfect specimen for how to devote. His passing meant a life book of feeling/knowing what gives other humans their paths to Love and Knowledge. Some humans are meant to show others their paths. And in that they secrete ways to profitably exist.Comment publication date: 3/18/26, 4:50 PMComment source: In memorium -- The Melon Man
