Start Looking for Your Sample Ballots Today

Linda Rothery, Churchill County Clerk/Treasurer, reported to the County Commission today on the plans her office has for the general election. “We have sample ballots that are hitting mailboxes today,” she said.

All active voters will be mailed a mail ballot by the end of the month of September and voters have the option to vote that ballot or they can vote at the polls either during early voting or election day. Polls will be set up in the commission chambers for two weeks of early voting with ten voting machines and Saturday hours will be extended. Election Day will be held at the Convention Center and there will be 40 voting machines available.

Rothery said that at the in-person locations, her staff will provide for social distancing and ask people to wear masks. If people do not wear masks, they will be taken to a separate area, so they will not expose those wearing masks. Staff will also be cleaning each voting machine each time it is used so that voters will always be using a clean booth. Rothery suggests that those who wish to vote in person bring their mail-in ballot with them to speed up the check-in process.

They negotiate with drug makers to get reduced pricing for medications, but they historically have not passed along those savings to patients. https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/ftc_gov/pdf/pharmacy-benefit-managers-staff-report.pdf MFN: Most Favored Nation pricing is a policy that means a country agrees to offer the same trade concessions (like tariffs or price reductions) to all member nations of the World Trade Organization (WTO).
